OGDEN  -  Sherrian ‘Sherry’ L. Burnett, 46, died Monday, March 24, 1997. She was born March 3, 1951 in Ogden, her grandmother Mattie’s Birthday Girl, to James F.S. and Connie Linderman Strebel. She was a lifelong resident of Ogden and attended the Weber County Schools. She was a member of the LDS Church. Sherry was a member of the Abate Motorcycle Association and loved the outdoors and butterflies. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. Surviving are three sons, Shane (Melanie) Williams, Great Falls, Montana, son of Steve Williams; Brandon Vander Stappen, Roy, and Aaron (Sabrina) Vander Stappen, South Ogden, sons of Gary Vander Stappen; four grandchildren, Anyssa, Melyssa and Dalton Williams; Isaac Vander Stappen and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her mother, Connie Strebel and grandmother, Mattie Strebel Winward, both of South Ogden; three sisters, Terry (Robert) Kilburn and Debbie Strebel, both of South Ogden; Christy (Mike) Stimpson, South Weber. She was preceded in death by her father. Funeral services will be held at the graveside on Friday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road. Friends may call at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. She had fought a long, hard battle -may she now rest in peace.
