Karen Ann
Weir Hoellein, our loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away on Thursday, May 24,2012 at McKay Dee Hospital. She was
born on July 14, 1951 in Ogden, Utah to Blaine and Betty Rutherford Weir. She
lived in Montana and Germany, spending most of her life in the Ogden area. On
September 24, 1971, Karen married the love of her life, Michal John Hoellein,
in Ogden. She is a
member of the LDS Church. Karen is a
long time member of the ski patrol with Nordic Valley (Wolf Mountain). She is a
long time member of the NSPS and oversaw all registration for the Intermountain division. Karen loved skiing, camping, hunting and ATV riding
with her family. Her pride and joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
They were always first in her life. She worked
for Ken Garff of Riverdale and Amalgamated Sugar (White Satin). She is
survived by her husband, parents, and three children; Christine Cooper,
Washington Terrace; John (Mindi) Hoellein, Farr West; Kara (Shane) Teuscher,
Clinton; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Steven (Leslie) Weir, Kaysville; Kelly
(Marci) Weir, Syracuse; two sisters, Nancy Weir, Ogden; and Sheri (Richard) Peterson, Syracuse. The family
wishes to thank the nurses and staff at McKay-Dee Hospital, especially, Dr.
Vincent Hansen and Dr. Balija for their outstanding services. Graveside
services will be held Thursday, May 31st at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Washington
Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. The family
will meet with friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 to
10:30 a.m.at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. In lieu of
flowers, the family would sincerely appreciate donations in Karen's name to the
American Cancer
