LAYTON - Roger Leon Wade was born May 11, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Lester H. Wade and Carol Braby. Following his retirement from IRS and Continental Airlines, Roger lived with his favorite cousin, Donna Hodgins, in Columbus, Georgia, and in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He loved traveling all around the world and on March 21, 2012 he made his final journey home. Pancreatic cancer proved to be the victor in Roger’s valiant battle. Surviving are his wife Claudia de Arujo, Brazil; children, Carol Bannister (Brody) of Layton, UT, Kevin Wade of Roy, UT and Trisha Blackner (Jacob) of Roy, UT. Grandchildren: Siara and Aspen Bannister, Jaden and Tayzhia Wade, Toby, Kaleb and Garret Blackner. Preceding him in death are his parents, his former wife and the mother of his children, Linda Stegen. Mourning his death are siblings: Kenneth Wade, Sheryl Flinders, Ralph Wade, Douglas Wade, Annette Wade, Maurice Wade, James Wade and Janice Wade. Also surviving is his step-mother Marie Wade, and step-siblings: Risa Ashment, Rick Tolman, Mark Tolman, Emlee Tanner, Kent Tolman, Chrystal Walker, Jayne Tolman, Steven Tolman, Blair Tolman and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may visit family March 31, 2012 at the LDS Rock Chapel, 625 S. 750 E., Layton, UT from 11 am to 11:20 am. A private family memorial will follow immediately after.
