Hooper - Jolene Peterson Johnson, a loving spirit of our Heavenly Father, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2003 at Ogden Regional Medical Center. She was born April 29, 1951 in Ogden, a daughter of Delmar A. and Norma Louise Wright Peterson. Jolene married Kenneth Lee Johnson on March 18, 1969 in Logan, and on May 12, 1979 in the Ogden LDS Temple for time and all eternity. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she held many positions including a Primary Teacher, Relief Society Counselor and Secretary, and Ward Librarian. She enjoyed camping, bowling, craft projects and needlework. Jolene loved and lived life everyday and enjoyed helping others. The family expresses thanks to the staff of Bonneville Dialysis. Surviving are her husband, Kenneth, of Hooper; her father, Delmar A. Peterson, three brothers, Kent (Sue) Peterson, South Ogden; Ron (Karen) Peterson, Hooper; Chris (Amy) Peterson, West Haven; her sister-in-law, Colleen Nielsen, Lehi; brother-in-law, Grant (Norene) Johnson, Kaysville; nephew, Colton Peterson and niece, Cody Lynn Peterson. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Hooper 6th Ward Chapel, 4675 West 5500 South, with Bishop Richard Dunkley officiating. Friends may call at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday at the Ward Chapel from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Special thanks to the Hooper 6th Ward Relief Society, also to friends and neighbors.
