North Ogden- Scott L. Hartley, 32, of 2670 N. 250 E., died Sunday, March 6, 1983, at his home of causes pending a state medical examiner’s investigation. He was born Feb. 6, 1951, in Ogden, a son of Lynn C. and Phyllis Lindgren Hartley. He married Susan Christensen on Oct. 2, 1975, in Ogden. He was employed at Hill Air Force Base as a supply technician. He graduated from Bonneville High School in 1969 and attended Weber State College two years. He was a member of the North Ogden 9th LDS Ward. He had lived in Ogden and North Ogden all his life. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving as a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, and had served in Southeast Asia. He was a member of the Riverside Golf Course Men’s Association. He was a member of the Air Force Association. Surviving are his widow of North Ogden; three sons and one daughter, Todd Hardman, North Ogden; Tyson Hartley, Salt Lake City; Brendon Hartley, North Ogden; Cami Hartley, North Ogden. Also surviving are his parents of Washington Terrace; one brother and three sisters, Richard Lynn Hartley, Riverdale; Mrs. Scott (Karen) VanLeeuwen, Washington Terrace; Mrs. Warren (Sharon) Johns, Layton; Kaye Valdez, North Ogden; one grandmother, Mrs. Mary Lindgren, Washington Terrace. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel in Ogden with Bishop David Howell of the North Ogden 9th Ward officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to services. Interment in Washington Heights Memorial Park.
