SUNSET – Our precious Annabelle, age 64, passed away of complication of Multiple Sclerosis on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Davis Hospital surrounded by her family. She courageously battled debilitating MS for over 30 years with strength and conviction, never complaining and always with her beautiful smile. She was born in Ogden, Utah on December 7, 1950 the seventh child of eight to Eugene Draney and Jennie M. Brown. She grew up in Washington Terrace, Utah where she attended schools. Annabelle met the love of her life, Fred L. Chipp Jr. and was soon married February 7, 1976. They had three children, a son Clay Angell, daughter Mindy Anne Morrison (Ben) and son Clinton Eugene Chipp, two grandchildren, Sam Chadsey Morrison and Keanna Simental (Nathaniel). Annabelle was a faithful and loyal Jehovah’s Witness and looked forward to life everlasting in a new paradise world. She loved creating crafts, attending yard sales and thrift stores where she had a knack of buying beautiful items and antiques. She was also very good at gardening and had a special love and connection with animals. She loved camping, fishing, hiking, and travel in their RV. Annabelle is survived by her husband Fred, two children Mindy and Clinton, her two grandchildren, sisters Sharon Hicks (Lonnie), Pamela Oliveras (Jorge), Rochelle McQuade (Jack), brothers Dan Draney (Anita) and Lewis Shane Draney (Pat). She was preceded in death by her parents, son Clay, sister Jeanene Maurer, and brother Michael Draney. The family would like to extend a special thanks to caregivers Virginia Trujillo and Bridget Perkins, home care nurse Queenie Aydelott with Community Nursing Services, neurologist Dr. John Rose and his assistant Julia Klein, University of Utah Medical Center and her family physician Dr. Brandon Wintle, Herefordshire Clinic for their love and excellent care through the years. Her husband Fred also devoted his life taking care of Annabelle. The family would also like to recognize Pam Oliveras (Annabelle’s Sister) and Cookie Perkins (Annabelle’s Sister-in-law) for the many hours they have sacrificed through the years to care for Annabelle and Fred. A Remembrance of Annabelle’s life will be held Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. There will also be a memorial Service held at the Layton Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1323 E. Gentile Road, Layton, Utah on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. where friends and family are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society by going to www.nationalmssociety.org to help stop this terrible disease.
