LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. - John G. Smith, 26 of 1378 LaMirada, formerly of Ogden, died Sunday, Nov 6, 1977, in Las Vegas, Nev., of injuries suffered in an automobile accident. Mr. Smith was born May 30, 1951, in New Albany, Ind., a son of James W. and Dorothy VanCleave Smith. He lived in Austin, Tex., Ogden, and California. He was a member of the Catholic Church. He was a parachute instructor in Texas. Surviving are his parents of South Ogden; five brothers and three sisters, James W. Smith Jr., Salt Lake City; Chris Smith, Denver, Colo.; Guy Smith, Washington D.C.; Mark Smith, serving an LDS Mission in Minnesota; Tim Smith, Ogden; Mrs. Larry (Sherry) Mosher, Mrs. Tom (Becky) Taylor, Mrs. Tom (Colette) Kellerstrass, all of Ogden. Also surviving are the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John G. Smith, New Albany, Ind. Funeral directors Lindquist and Sons Mortuary in Ogden. Private funeral services for J. Gregory Smith were held in Ogden, Funeral directors, Lindquist and Sons.
